Loft conversions, built with care for the details.

Before setting up Timothy Taylor Projects, Timothy worked on loft conversions as part of a larger team in Bristol. Loft conversions are still among the larger projects we take on.

Good carpentry and real care over the details are what make a new loft room feel like part of the house.

We renovate whole bathrooms and put in new showers, tiling included. On one job that meant a new shower, a glass brick wall, and a small Velux swapped for a much larger one.

Having builders in shouldn't be something you dread.

If you've been let down by builders before, this is how we keep a job calm, step by step.

  1. We talk it through as we go

Details are checked and discussed with you along the way, so the finished job is the one you wanted.

  2. Your home is tidied every evening

The working area is cleared and tidied at the end of each working day, not just when the job is done.

  3. You always know where things stand

Communication is clear from start to finish, so there are no surprises.

  4. A fair, reasonable price

High quality work at a reasonable rate, priced honestly for the job in front of us.

From Bristol to South Devon.

Timothy worked on loft conversions as part of a larger team in Bristol before setting up Timothy Taylor Projects on his own, and has since moved the business to Devon.

Today we're based in Totnes. The way of working hasn't changed: turn up on time, take care over the details, keep the house tidy and keep you in the loop.

What customers say.

So happy with the work Tim and Alistair have done for us over the past few weeks. Super lovely and professional to work with ☺️ would highly recommend.

We instructed Tim when he was still localised in Bristol to install decking on a redundant area of our garden, which in parts was irregularly uneven. He was very professional and friendly and he always left his working area tidy at the end of the day. His work was excellent and I wish him all the best in Devon. Strenuously recommended! 100%

Tim put in a shower and built a glass brick wall for us. He also replaced a small velux with a much larger one. Having been disappointed with some other recent building work, I was nervous about having more workmen at the house. Tim and Alasdair were a breath of fresh air! They were exceptionally professional, skillful and courteous. And - they tidied up at the end of each working day. Communication was excellent and they were very reasonably priced. I am more than satidfied with the work they have done, and I cannot recommend them enough :)

Tim did a number of jobs for us in Bristol. He charges a very reasonable rate for the high quality service he offers.

He was personable, flexible and courteous, always prepared to check and discuss elements to ensure we were happy.

Tim was able to turn his hand to a range of building jobs from plastering and painting, to tiling, floor laying and outdoor paving. Whilst Tim did smaller jobs for us, I have seen lots of other examples of larger projects -loft conversions and kitchen extensions he has taken on, which have been really impressive and exemplify his aptitude for larger scale projects.

Tim is an experienced, friendly guy who you will be able to rely on to do an exemplary professional job.

Highly recommended.

We were lucky to meet Tim in Bristol, when he was part of a bigger amazing team, doing our loft conversion. He was professional, caring, understanding of our needs and with amazing care for the details. Great carpentry abilities and superlative working ethos. We then worked with him when he created his own business and renovated our bathroom. Again he was wonderful to work with, honest, reliable, on time, careful and competent.

We have relocated abroad and were so happy with his work that we invited him over! Hopefully he will come and visit once and help us with our new property.
